Approximately 197 days after Sophia joined the inspection team, an order arrived from the aristocrats reporting surface damage on the rear of the train. In response, Andre dispatched two teams to evaluate the situation. Unfortunately, the leading team encountered an ambush set by the Corrupted, a meticulously planned trap orchestrated by Ashlar and his associates. When the second team arrived to assist, they found themselves encircled, along with Andre and the first team. Ultimately, only Sophia succeeded in escaping the ambush.

Jamilah administered morphine as the only available means to alleviate his pain before he passed away. Among his personal belongings was a royal badge that he claimed was an authentic token from royalty. This badge, which bore burn marks, was later given to Sophia by Jamilah.
After becoming Jamilah's personal guard, Sophia often visits Andre's tombstone, a reminder of the deep bond she shared with the first family she ever knew and loved.
